Course Overview

In this 4-day, intermediate-level training course, our certified experts will help you refine your skills using Toolbox, Microvellum's AutoCAD-based design to manufacturing software.

Note: Attendees in this online class have a "virtual seat" connected with an in-person class live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Days 1 & 2: Intermediate

  • Project and Room Properties

  • Linking attributes and blocks to project and room specifications

  • Project materials

  • Template and project-level materials, pointer names, working in Groups,

  • Advanced AutoCAD Commands and Drawing Template Setup (annotative scaling, dynamic drawing blocks, attributes in blocks, insert fields in text, basic 3D commands (extrude, presspull, extrude faces, 3D rotate, subtract)

  • Specification Groups

  • Creating detailed shop drawings with MV 2D Drawing Tools and AutoCAD ViewBase commands

  • Working the Processing Stations and Nest Settings

  • Nest Drawings and 2D Machining Tools

  • Rendering Tools and Materials

Days 3 & 4: Advanced

  • Working with Parent and Nested Subassemblies

  • Custom Product Engineering

  • Drawing Tokens

  • Machine Tokens

  • Formula writing

  • Product Troubleshooting

  • Solid Model Analyzer and Solid Modeling Tools - Extruded Products


Location: Online

Training Days: Tuesday, March 28 - Friday, March 31, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Access - Links to access the online class meeting platform as well as all course materials and project data will be provided one week prior to the start of the class.

Instructors: As a participant in the online class, you will be connected to the live classroom and provided an in-meeting coach that will help answer questions you may have throughout the 4-day class.

4-day Registration: $1,100 per company
