January 6, 2014 – Central Point, Oregon – Microvellum, Inc., a leading cabinet design and manufacturing software provider, specializing in AutoCAD based CAD/CAD/CIM technologies, announced the members of their new Australia-based team.
Microvellum Australia, now based out of Brisbane QLD and locally managed by Ray Brimelow, has been moving forward with its rebuilding efforts for the past few months has recently made significant progress related to the sales, service and support of their software in Australia.
“We’re excited to be able to officially announce the fact that we’ve added to our team in Australia. Our goal is to make sure our customer-base in Australia knows we are committed to improving customer service and expanding in Australia.” says David Fairbanks, Microvellum’s Director of Operations.
“These guys have vast experience in the woodworking industry and Microvellum software and together we’re going to accomplish great things in 2014.” continued Fairbanks.
One familiar addition to the Microvellum Team is Jamie Broadbent. Broadbent started out as a shopfitter and went on to work in solid timber furniture where he gained experience working with solid timber window and doors, PVC windows and doors and carpentry.
“I have been working in and around the woodworking industry for around 18 years now. Throughout that time, I have gained a wide-range of experience from the different companies I’ve been a part of.” says Broadbent.
In 2006, Broadbent made the decision to learn more about automated technologies within the woodworking industry and in the spring of 2006, he started his career with Microvellum as an entry level support technician for Microvellum’s now former reseller organization, Complete Software Solutions. In a short time, Jamie was promoted to Tech Support Manager and soon after Library Product Development Manager.
“I’m part of the new Microvellum Australia team now and I am very excited with what this opportunity has to offer myself and the customers here in Australia. A new page has been turned, with an exciting future.” Broadbent continued.
Broadbent has joined the Microvellum Australia team as a Certified Service Provider and Technical Support Specialist.
Another recognizable addition is Matt Davies, a skilled cabinet maker and trusted service provider. Davies came to know Microvellum when he first implemented the Software in his own business in 2004. Over the course of the next 6 years, he streamlined his business and implemented the automated technology from Microvellum throughout his business.
In 2010, Davies decided that it was time to take his involvement with Microvellum to the next level and pursued a career change that would allow him to help other shops experience the success that he had. So, early in 2010, he sold his business and began selling and supporting Microvellum software in Northern NSW, QLD, NT, and New Zealand.
Through his experiences with Microvellum software in his own business, Davies has gained extensive knowledge of Microvellum and knows what it takes to get the software running efficiently.
“Having Matt on our team moving forward in Australia means great things for our customers. He has impressive product knowledge and knows what it takes to be successful with our software. He will continue to be an asset for us as we work together to rebuild our team and position in the market place.” says David Fairbanks.
Davies is now part the new Microvellum team and is a Regional Account Manager for New South Wales and Queensland and Northern Territory Australia.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of customers in Australia and have formed many close business relationships with them. I look forward to building new partnerships and experiencing increased growth as I continue with the new Microvellum Australia management.” says Davies.
Serge Papko, is a Fitter and Turner/Toolmaker by trade, with a career rooted in the woodworking industry. Papko began his career in the woodworking industry as a technician for Biesse in 1994. In 2003, Papko left Biesse and became and sales agent for Ardis in Victoria. His sales career began to grow and he soon added Microvellum software to his portfolio of products. From 2004 to 2008, Papko was a sales manager under the management of Complete Software Solutions, tasked with helping customers purchase, implement, and customize their Microvellum software.
“We’re glad to have Serge back on the team and look forward to accomplishing great things in 2014” says David Fairbanks.

Papko is now part the new Microvellum team and is a Regional Account Manager for Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales (South of Sydney).
Tim Veale, a power-user turned certified technician, also joins the team and brings 13 years of experience with him. Veale began in the woodworking industry in 2001, building kitchens, office furniture and shop fitting as a qualified cabinetmaker. Passionate about technology and IT savvy, Tim was selected to be the “CAD guy” when his company started using Microvellum 8 years ago. Since then Tim’s skills and expertise have seen him rise to lead CAD teams in a management position at successful Shopfitting and kitchen companies. Tim has a passion to see companies reach their potential and get personalized, satisfying results; customizing libraries, product design, subassemblies and reporting.
“I really enjoy helping fellow cabinet makers configure Microvellum. Seeing them reap the benefits of this automated design and manufacturing tool is very rewarding.” says Veale.
Veale is now part the new Microvellum team and is a Regional Account Manager and Certified Service Provider for New Zealand.
In previous announcements, Microvellum has stated that “2014 is all about customer service” and this latest announcement surrounding the expansion of their sales team and support efforts, further supports the company’s goals.
