Microvellum Ends Support for Windows XP
Beginning February 1, 2016, Microvellum will have formally ceased supporting its products installed on Microsoft’s Windows XP operating systems.
Why is Microvellum ending support for Windows XP?
In February 2016, in an effort to keep up-to-date with Microsoft Technology and support the latest releases of Autodesk’s AutoCAD software, Microvellum’s development team began utilizing Microsoft’s .NET 4.5 Framework, a Framework that is no longer supported by XP operating systems.
Will my existing Microvellum products still work if I upgrade my Windows XP computer to Windows 7, 8, 10 or buy a new computer?
If you choose to upgrade your system to a newer operating system or purchase a new computer, your Microvellum licenses will remain valid for your new system. Before you begin the upgrade, you will want to make sure that you have your product serial numbers and passwords for activation. The upgrade should only clear the serial numbers on upgrades to Windows 10, but’s it’s a good idea to make sure that you have your serial numbers and passwords anyway.
How do I obtain my serial number and passwords?
If you have lost your serial numbers or passwords, please contact Microvellum directly to obtain your licensing and activation information. Email: [email protected]
