Saving
Files to Template
The contents of the template folder get copied into every new job that is started in Microvellum. The template folder contains your global variable, material, and subassembly files. If you make a change to any one of these files and then want this change to be affected in any new job that you create, you need to save the file back to the template. To save the file back to the template select the "Save Files to Template" fly-out from the "File" drop down menu. The fly-out will give you the option to save the Global Variables, Material Files, or Subassemblies from the current job to the template folder. Saving the Global Variable file will save just the Global.xls file from the job into the template folder. Saving the Material Files to the template will save all the material files found in the current job to the template. Saving the Subassemblies back to the template will save all the subassemblies from the current job to the template. Once a file has been saved back to the template, it will overwrite the existing files in the template folder so any changes will be reflected in any new jobs created. |
