Previous | Next

The first tab on the options screen is the "General Tab".  The general tab allows you to setup your company name, printing options, and display options.

Company name Box

The company name box allows you to change the name of the company.  Excel style reports will display the company name provided.

Numeric Units and Display

Accuracy - The accuracy setting will control rounding and the format of dimensions shown on reports.

Unit Display - The fractions and decimals option will change the format on the spreadsheet and the reports.

Units - You can set what type of units you are using.  If you want to use metric units but plot on 11x17 paper, you can use the third units setting, "Use Metric Units with Imperial Scaling".

Item Numbering - The Item Numbering Sequence can be changed to two different numbering systems.

Library Design Mode

The "Library Design Mode" checkbox will turn "Library Design Mode" on or off.  Please see Library Designer Mode for more information.

Product Debug Mode

Product Debug Mode will create an Excel CSV file for every product in the job folder once the job is processed.  Each CSV file will have all the product information in it and what each formula is evaluating to.  This allows you to see if any formulas are evaluating to incorrect values.  The Product Debug Mode checkbox will turn this option on or off.

Printing Options

A majority of all users prefer to use "Crystal Reports" to generate the reporting for their manufacturing information.  You can select which version of "Crystal Reports" is used by selecting the appropriate checkbox.  There would only be a need to select a version type other then the Microvellum default, Crystal 8.5, if you have "Crystal Reports" installed on your computer.  If you have "Crystal Reports" installed on your computer, you would select the appropriate version here.  If you are having problems printing or viewing your reports select a different version of Crystal here.  If your printer cannot communicate with "Crystal Reports" select the "Print with Excel" option.  This will use the standard Excel style manufacturing reports created by Microvellum.
