Creation and Configuration
The library is one of the most essential parts of the Microvellum software and can be a very powerful, time saving component. Even manufacturers that only build custom items can make use of a library to house products that can then be assembled into custom items. Since the library is essential, Microvellum has developed designer tools to make it possible to get a library up and running in a short period of time. Global Variables can be modified to setup a library to your construction methods. The Library Designer makes it possible to quickly edit the entire shipping library into a customized library. Microvellum can also provide services to help a manufacturer build the library. If you build products that do not fall into the category of commercial or residential casework, you may want to inquire into other libraries available to provide a foundation upon which to build. Microvellum has created many libraries of products that include office furniture, entry doors, closets, laboratory casework, MDF doors, and wall paneling. The power of Microvellum really allows you to create any products that you may need, and coupled with Excel formulas you can create parametric products that can be used over and over again for different situations. Before being able to fully render the power of a parametric library, there are a few concepts that must be understood.
